Catan

A classic. In Catan each resource hexagon is assigned a number. You start the game by building towns that sits at the intersection of the hexagons. When a dice roll lands on that number, you get the resource from that hexagon (wood, brick, wheat, and others). Then you use the resources to build more roads and towns, until you gain enough victory points to be deemed the winner.

This one’s a nice fallback when we need a 3-player boardgame. To be honest I wasn’t the biggest fan of Catan (it feels old?) but I won the last time we played this so that makes me like the game more (lol).
