We recently moved into a slightly larger apartment, which has given me room to have a little coffee station in the corner of my living room. Spare space is quite hard to come by in Japanese apartments so I’m quite pleased with the setup for this one!
The pourover setup:
- Grinder, scale and kettle from Timemore
- A black ceramic Hario V60
- Ikea Stolthet chopping board, which functions as a nice shelf to stack a notebook and scale underneath
- Ikea Raskog trolley, where I store my beans and filter paper
- A teapot from T2 featuring some Australian birds
- And a tiny portrait of an Ibis (I probably want to hang this but I can’t commit to a location)
I wouldn’t call myself obsessed with birds, but I’ve somehow gravitated towards a lot of bird decor in the home. I usually make two cups of coffee in one go (one for my husband as well), and the teapot is the only thing I own that’s big enough to hold that much liquid. I could go and buy some glass container that’s suited for pourover coffee, but I like the teapot.
