North Alps hike day 3/3 (13km, 2100m descent, 6 hours).

On day 3 it was finally time to head home! We enjoyed the sunrise, even spotting Mt Fuji in the distance, and then began our descent.

The trail on the first half was pretty rocky (not fun) but after a hard day 1 and 2, only having 6 hours to hike on day 3 was pretty nice. Around the halfway point you’ll pass the Yari-Daira hut (where you can buy cup noodles from a vending machine 👀). And then the last 5km was all dirt road (yay). The hike finished at Shinhotaka Onsen where we had a well-deserved soak before getting on a bus back to Tokyo.
