Barn swallows are apparently viewable between April - July in Japan, which seems pretty spot on since I first saw them this April.
I most commonly see them at roadside stations - they seem to like making nests right above the entrance to the toilets (lol).
One perched on a power line, and a pair hiding under the storefront awning near Yama-kita station.
