Alongside the 100 Famous Mountains of Japan, there’s also the 200 Famous Mountains (日本二百名山, Nihon Nihyakumeizan). This list of 200 mountains contains the original 100 Famous Mountains chosen by mountaineer Kyuya Fukada, plus an additional 100 chosen via votes from his fan club. If you’ve run out of 100 Famous Mountains to climb, this is another good list of mountains to choose from. To date, I’ve climbed 9/100.
