Birding at the Imperial Palace

After getting some coffee we decided to go for a walk around the nearby Imperial Palace. It’s unexpectedly a fairly good birding location, although it was pretty rainy and cold.

  • Mejiro (cute!)
  • A dusky thrush - it seemed like a fairly boring-looking brown bird (sorry, bird) but apparently it’s migratory so that makes it seem kind of fancy ✨ or is that just me 😂
  • A large-billed crow. Apparently Japan has two variants of crows (who knew) and this is the one with a slightly fatter beak
